Pasik

since 2024

Tania Mouraud continues her exploration of the plasticity of writing in her hand-drawn series Pasik (2024). The letters intertwine, the poem, of Yiddish origin, blurs like a tear-filled gaze. Illegible, it speaks beyond words of the sorrow felt by humanity in the face of wars that endlessly repeat themselves. The insistence of the gesture suggests an erasure — the perpetual rewriting of the same story, to the point of exhaustion, saturation, or even obliteration. Or perhaps it evokes the image of burnt film reels fallen from a projector, endlessly replaying the same film.
